The strategic voice for SEND families in Tameside

Membership

Why join us?

By working together, we can make a real difference.

The Tameside Umbrella Parent Carer Forum brings together families of children and young people with SEND to share experiences, shape services and influence positive change. We can’t do that on our own.

Membership is free for all parent carers with children or young people 0-25yrs living in or receiving services from the area, and your views and lived experiences are vital – they help ensure the right support is in the right place.

We gather feedback through surveys, coffee mornings, polls, working groups, webinars, information sessions and conferences. These insights are taken to local boards and meetings, where they directly inform service design and provision.

Our approach is simple: “You said, we did.” We always feed back to our members, highlighting progress and impact in the areas that matter most to you.

Why your voice matters:

It helps deliver outcomes that truly matter to families.

It drives social justice and fairness in SEND support.

It empowers parents and carers to shape the future.

It connects us through a shared goal of improving life for children and young people with SEND.

Together, we’re stronger – and your voice helps make lasting change happen.

We are also proud members of the National Network of Parent Carer Forums. Click here to find out more.
